What types of stains do you use for decks and wood surfaces?

Accepted Answer

We use Toners, Semi-transparent, and Solid Color stains without sealers in them. Sealers can cause issues when it's time to re-stain your deck or fence. The sealer can cause peeling which can result in having to strip the previous finish to apply a new one.

How do you prepare the exterior surfaces before painting or staining?

Accepted Answer

We clean thoroughly using power soft washing, repair any dry rot, replace damaged caulking, and sand & spot prime any peeling paint or bare surfaces for optimal adhesion. As a courtesy, we replace your corner flood light bulbs (standard flood bulbs) after we paint.

Can you match existing colors or styles?

Accepted Answer

We can usually match existing colors. However, colors fade outside so keep that in mind if we need to match from a sample that's been on your house for a while. Painting a whole side or section of the house may be necessary to avoid seeing a fix.

What type of paint do you use?

Accepted Answer

Our standard for exterior paint jobs is Benjamin Moore Regal paint. However, we can use something different if you prefer. It is a high quality exterior paint that we've had excellent success with over the years. If something else is preferred, or warranted, it will be noted on the estimate.
